  1. So we all have dated a girl with purple hair or funky spikes and as soon as you get back from the date, your friends ask you how was she? And I explain it was very different, different than any other girl I have dated. It was fun and we had a great time. It was unique and different. Nothing flashy but just fun because it was different. This is that beer. Unique and different than anything we tried so far. Must be that antique yeast.

  2. This tastes like an Allagash White that has been soaked in yeast for the last week, then battered in yeast, and then deep fried in yeast oil. It's not bad, but in an open Belgian-style beer market there are so many beers I would choose over this.

  3. Thats is a Belgian, it went down smooth and easy, almost too easy. It would be a great session beer. Will look to add it to the rotation. A-

  4. Oh yeah...so smooth and sexy. I made the mistake of drinking this too cold at first...got the fruity esthers on the nose but lost some flavor. Let it warm up for about 10 min and tried again. So smooth and delicious with a nice crisp finish. Super sessionable and seems to go straight to the brain with the elevated ABV. Amazing balance that belies it strength.

Not something that comes to mind when I think winter beer, but it is real tasty. This one is a bit of a lady killer...so I may keep some in the fridge when I wanna get my lady a little drunky

  5. So this is how not to drink a beer: Pour beer--get interrupted and asked to light the candles. Take a sip, help young helpless kids get some food. Grab another sip and remember that I didn't get any food. Pour a little more--now it's time to open gifts. Sneak a sip before dreidel. Another sip prior to dessert. Pour last bit as kids open gifts. In other words, I wasn't able to concentrate on the beer.

Here's what I remember: 1) Looks good and smells great; 2) Quite tasty--and what, the Redskins are winning?; 3) Really clean finish and the Redskins won?; 4) I need to grab another one of these to really enjoy it.

  6. This is a brew with some personality. Strong fruit flavors on the initial sip and a clean finish as if the fruit didn't happen. Not bad at all. Im more partial to the Dubbel style but I can rock to this. B+

  8. Belgians are never my first choice, but I always end up enjoying them. This was no exception. Very smooth and drinkable. And at 7.6 it helped me get started on the Saturday afternoon nap I so badly needed. This one goes on the nice list.

  11. I enjoyed this beer from beginning to end. Not my favorite style. I prefer the dark beers, but this had a really good taste that was consistent throughout. B+

  12. I liked this beer but still wasn't overly impressed. Of course I had it coming off one of my favorite beers so perhaps I should give it another chance.
