  2. early bird gets the worm. i didn't have forthought to put this one in the fridge earlier so i'm drinking it at room temp. i gotta say i like this one regardless

    pros:
saves you money on your power bill
    abv > 5%

    cons:
false advertising: its named for virginia but brewed in delaware. Also, look at the label... i've never seen a palm tree in virginia or delaware.. i feel used

IF they change the name or moved the brewery back to VA then i would order it at a bar, else i pass

  3. Liked this one! Smooth beer for a summer day. I agree with Ben that I wish this brewery were still in VA.

I liked this beer a lot and I think part of the reason is that I was drinking it in while sitting in the sun on the back patio. And that made me think of drinking it on the porch at the beach and who doesn't love that? It had a nice crisp taste. So far I am loving the 24 beers June edition.

  5. well sitting in the cool shade this morning on my back deck and cracked this baby open. Another disappointment. Very bland and too light but I really enjoyed the creamy and frothy aftertaste. Still no real flavor though and guess I was expecting more based on the winter flavors. Maybe if it were really hot today and I drank a few of these it would be better?? I will never know.

  6. Back when I was a Virginian, I used to live about 10 mins from Dominion. It makes me a bit sad it is all Delaware now. I think they did the same with Fordham in Md. Damn Delaware!

Nonetheless, I liked it. It was truly Bohemian, and a little hoppy (but not as much as I expected) with a nice dry finish. I even used the chilled Pilsner glass as prescribed. So that may have helped.

All in all, a nice brew that I will add to my summer beers rotation.

  7. Ugh. Old Dominion brewed in Dover, Delaware is wrong on so many levels. Figures Virginia can't even keep a brewery. I blame Joe Biden.

Anyway, I'll quote Ro after the first sip, "Bit of an aftertaste.....Not a fan.... If I had to spend $5 for that beer, I'd want my money back"

Definitely a pilsner. Reminds me a lot of Pilsner Urquell. I hate fucking Pilsner Urquell. Gah. I'm going to chug this now and find another beer to cleanse my palate.

  8. I thought this had a weird after taste. I'm not sure if I can see myself drinking many of these. I'm not sure what going Bohemian means but I can do without, if its like this beer. I give it a 3

  9. The worst part of this beer was not being at the beach while drinking it. Besides the weird after taste, I liked it.

  10. I'm reposting after cassandra inadvertanly deleted my post. I was not a big fan of this beer because of it's weird after taste. I'm not sure what going Bohemian means, but if its drinking more of these beers, I'll pass. I give it a 3 rating

  11. Just got caught up this morning after work. I kinda like this one. Light and beachy but it has some flavor. Especially drinking it back to back with the heavy seas I was supposed to drink last night. I'd totally drink a six pack of this.

  12. #2 - Golden Pils. Appearance: Golden like its name, not too hazy. Smell: Pleasant bready. Taste: This pilsner surprised me. Crisp, refreshing; pleasing balance of hops and malt. Although some American pilsners hop it up (which I enjoy more), this one stayed more true to the European versions. No offensive after taste. Mouthfeel: Well carbonated. Good for summer. Overall, I enjoyed this beer. I wanted another. B+.

  13. This tasted liked apricot to me. Anyone else? Not bad and I actually found it refreshing. Amy said it tasted like a typical beer.

  14. Drinking this a day late and after just playing baseball for 3 hours. Was thinking about this the whole ride home and hoped it would great. So I'm on my deck with a slight breeze drinking this beer trying to relax after a long day in the sun. I would say it's just OK for me. Nothing special. It's doing the job of quenching my thirst, but I can't say it's great. Just average for me. I hope the next beer is better. Not a whole lot of taste initially, but it does have a rusty bitter after taste. I give it a 7 out of 10, solid C.

  15. This beer doesn't remind me of the beach, it has too bitter of an aftertaste. I drank it from a pilsner glass and unfortunately it didnt make it taste better. Check minus.

  16. Not a fan. Just doesn't taste good. Delaware can have Dominion brewery if this is the kind of beers they brew. This may be my least favorite beers of the beers we've had the beers of Christmas and the beers of summer.

  17. Not too bad. Might have preferred to try it in a glass, but can't complain about a big after taste.
