Sierra Nevada's Summerfest Lager

Our Summerfest® is a refreshing, pilsner-style lager. Its incredible smoothness comes from an extra-long lagering period. Lighter in body than our ales but just as complex in character, Summerfest® quenches your thirst with big aroma and a tangy hop bite.

  1. I also believe drinking these beers after a long day at work is taking its toll. I would much rather have these beers at 12:00 on my back deck. Oh the good ole days of being unemployed are just a distant memory now. So I chugged this beer down while cramming down dinner while I was trying to get the boys in the shower b/c I got home real late. I must say this beer was awesome! I loved it. I used to be a lager lover and this beer reminded why. No bitter aftertaste, just smooth and with lots of taste. Perfect!

  2. This is a good one. I could easily drink several of these outside on a nice, warm day. Kind of reminds me of Sam's Summer but I haven't actually had one yet this season so I could be remembering incorrectly and just associating the two because they both have summer in the name.

  3. Relatively bland. Doesn't try too hard. Doesn't taste like coffee or pomegranate. In other words, one of my favorites of the summer blog. There are still other beers out there that I'd much rather drink but not bad.

  4. This was a great summer beer. It tasted good, was light and was a lot better than I expected. I would give this beer an 8.5 out of 10, B+

  6. I enjoyed this one. It was easy to drink and had a nice, light taste. Agree with Joe and Lauren that I would have rather enjoyed it while sitting outside in the sun. This is one of my favorites from the summer beers so far.

  7. We are on a hot streak and I'm liking the strong finsish of beers we are sampling. I really enjoyed this beer, it had everything I look for in a summer beer, citrusy and full of flavor. 9 out of 10

  8. I loved this beer. It is probably my second favorite of the group. Perfect balance and I will definitely consider buying more.

  9. This is and has always been my summer beer. But I didn't get a sip of this. I went drinking and Ro promised to not drink any of the beers for the 24 days. So she opened up some other beer. Then our neighbor decided to shoot off solstice eve fireworks. Dog freaks out and leaps off couch. I've always told Ro that balancing a beer on a book on the couch is not the best strategy and sure enough the beer went flying. So I get home and she says that Campbell spilled her beer so she drank the last Summerfest we had in the fridge. I said, "um, we only had the one for the 24 days of beer." She apologized. Regardles, we both love it. And this incident has made her promise me that she will get a fresh sixer next time she's at the store. Alright, alright.

  10. Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is one of my regulars beer and like a close friend. The Summerfest is the friend of the friend, who overtime I have become comfortable with overtime... to the point we can even hang out without Pale Ale. Its a growing bond, mainly because its a pilsner with amazing balance between the malt, summer floral and touch of hops. This is how you make a summer beer.
